| Anyway, all great games but so was guitar hero and Sonic but if you release to much, it can be a bad thing. Last edited by Baroque; 04-07-2011 at 09:17 PM. |

Yeah it happens but there really isn't anything you can do about it. Some people can't get enough and will buy it, fuelling that company with the money for another game and usually they'll think to themselves to use that same formula. If you hate it yourself then you should just not buy the game anymore and ignore it. Personally, I'm all for OoT on 3DS just because I love the old one so much and being able to have it portable is going to be so much fun for me, especially with the addition of Master's Quest which I shall start first. Though the worse offender to me is Sonic on that part, CoD might be old now but it works and can still be fun. Sonic? His games have been almost God awful each time they come out yet it still sells (Sonic fan boys, Grrr). |

Well, apparently Skyward Sword is changing up the Zelda formula. Won't know much about that until e3 though. I do think things like CoD are released much too often, and with a lack of formula changes. The MAIN Mario games are all great too, but they make a lot of other games, slap mario on it, and best seller, like you said. (not that they aren't good but...) |

I'm kind of in the mindset that I'm open to both old and new. (So I'm not really going to throw the rattle out of the pram either way) Obviously it's easier to get hyped over a series you know and love....but even new series have the power to excite you...they just have to try a bit harder. Scribblenauts is a great example. I wouldn't like to only have new series either, I'd like to see a balance. |

I'm getting somewhat tired of Mario. They've keep it similar with the 3D movement, sidescrollers and such.

There are just certain games that will never get old. Never. I literally can't get enough of a good sidescrolling Megaman and I'm always left hungry for more. Same with Metroidvanias. In this case, the formula of Mario and Zelda simply works. There's nothing else to it, really.. no need to fix something that isn't broken. |

I don't, it's like "Aren't you people tired of FOX, MTV and Cartoon Network?" They'll be there forever, you should adapt and accept the reality |

How can you compare Mario and Zelda with Guitar Hero and Sonic? Mario and Zelda are 25 Years old and still going strong whereas Guitar Hero as a series with DJ Hero and Band Hero has lasted a mere 5 years and production has now stopped. As for Sonic, the series' popularity started to drop after they changed the dynamics of the games. They took everything that was 'Sonic' out of the series. If anything, from looking at Sonic we an see that you're thinking is wrong, change too much and it dies. These games have shaped the way games are made and their winning formula is what inspired a lot of companies in both large and small ways, so why change it too much? Halo and COD shouldn't be mentioned within the same breath as Zelda and Mario, not because they're worse (They're not my type of game, but they're not necessarily worse) but because they're completely different types of games to Mario and Zelda. They're on another spectrum entirely. |

| No offensive but terrible post. Those are just networks, I didn't say tired of Sony, Nintendo, Microsoft, If all Fox plays is the simpsons forever, then yes, I will say I am tired of that aswell, if Cartoon network only has reruns of adventure time for the next 10 years, I will get tired of it too.
