I remember a bunch of parents taking their kids to see "Watchmen" when it was in theaters.
I laughed heartily.

Things are rated 'R' for a reason. Don't people check these things?

At the theatres I go to, the rating is right by the name of the movie. And it's said at the end of every commercial.

But anyways, I love Simon Pegg and Nick Frost. They can never do any wrong in my eyes.

Case in point: YouTube - Simon Pegg and Nick Frost's 'Star Wars'

Just because something's animated doesn't mean it's for children. ._.

Parents these days seem to let their kids play any games they want and see any movies they want.

I was given a bedtime and I wasn't allowed to watch certain things on TV and see certain movies until I was 15. My little brother, he's 6 years younger than me, he's been allowed to play and watch whatever he wants (even adult, gore and horror stuff) and stay up as late as he wants ever since he was 8 years old.

What's up with parenting these days?

You obviously are not a parent, or a parent that cares about their children's morals. I find it horrid when parents bring their kids to R movies! The other day at my daughter's T-Ball practice a mother was trying to get her 3 year old to say a#s. This is where the moral decay in America has hit a new low.

Back on topic Paul looks like it might be a funny movie, for adults, but I'm going to wait till it hits the Dollar Cinema or rental.

I'm right there with you. My parents wouldn't let me watch Beavis and Butthead or Simpsons. I couldn't listen to most music back in the 80's that played on the radio. As for movies I could only watch a movie after my parents got a chance to screen it first.
On the subject of bed time my daughter is six, she has to be in bed by 8pm. Too many parents let their kids stay up way too late, and with her T-Ball I just found out some games don't start till 7pm on a school night. This does not make me happy at all!
Sorry but the way people bring up their kids these days just makes me very angry. The things they let their kids get away with is crazy!

^^ I'm a social worker with the school board, I couldn't agree with you more. Line have been blurred between parenting and being a "life coach" to your kids, and that gap is widening. Kids don't need you to be their friend, they need you to govern over them and instil values and morals. good job.
