So i never really liked 8 but i never really gave it a chance truthfully. I started yesterday and honestly im not sure if its just moving slow or its just boring...I love all the other ff games. I just got Rinoa in my party and i completed the train mission which was pretty cool. All the characters are kinda lame so far imo except Squall and Seifer. The story hasnt engaged me at all really. Anyone wanna give me some insight? Will the game pickup pace or is it just boring to me?

Well if you didn't like some of the flow from the beginning of the game until that point. I am afraid you're not going to feel like its picking up pace. play the game a little bit more and then decide what to do from there. most of the good stuff happens in the next couple of discs.

I played that game over and over a few times. I like the play style and I like the characters. My favorites were Zell and Rinoa. It does get a little drab from time to time, but I feel that way with just about any game.

I dunno. I liked it.

True Final Fantasy 6 is Awesome. I love that game lol.

Its not really gonna pick up till mid disc 2 IIRC, if you drop it now and say you didn't like the pacing no one will blame you or demean you for it. You gave it the good old college try.

I'll agree with this.

I actually thought FF8 started out well and then fell off a cliff. If you don't like it now, you're probably gonna like it less later when Squall has his "epiphany."

I've played a handful of FF games and my favorite so far is FFX. If you haven't played that one, you should!
