OMG NO! They're DOOMED!

Seriously though. This guy is in touch with the next generation of consumers. It may be a very good move to appoint Kaz as Howard's successor.

He was largely responsible for the success Sony's entertainment and gaming businesses. He's not an oldfashioned consumer electronics guy so I'm sure he will understand they need to explore new business models and service/content delivery channels and steer away from the oldschool way of looking at electronics.

His first move was making Sony acquire full ownership over the Sony-Ericsson brand so clearly mobile handsets and handhelds are somewhere in his masterplan.

With Sony posting losses of $1.2billion for the last quarter, and projecting a yearly loss of $2.9billion, he's definitely got his work cut out.
