A video from IGN points out rumors of both a PS3 price cut and google developing games.

The google making games seems uninteresting to me, but a PS3 price cut would be nice since i am planning to buy one soon.

I also have been looking into purchasing a Nintendo PS3. Err- I mean PS3.

PS3 price cut seems pointless, since Microsoft can easily counter it and Sony already owns this year in terms of software.

Google Games won't matter since they'll hopefully be split up into micro-companies relatively soon.

Google games is probably just oging to be a division to manage and brand games for the Android operating system. Since their main competitor on that front Apple likes to obtain exclusive games releases.

Probably, but it could turn into something useful. I doubt it though. I don't think they are going to make a console at all.

Dont call me stupid ("Your stupid") but when companies make price cuts that usually means 1 of 2 things
1) competition
2) PS4??????

What would be the point in a new revision of the PS3 though? What else can they do to it besides maybe make it smaller?

You're right. Better a software revision.Give us back OS and ps2 compatibility. I dunno if the latter is hardware though.

The latter was hardware. I think it was to reduce the cost I think.
