Hi, this is my first thread so bare with me. I was wondering. I got an extra 3ds for my birthday and need to return it. Can I get my money back if I don't have the receipt? I know what store and register I bought it at but don't want store credit. Will they not let me get my money back? Thank you!!!

Did you open it? If not, then as long as they can pull up the receipt that corresponds to the serial number on that system you're trying to return, it shouldn't be a problem.

If you opened it, on the other hand, then forget about getting cash back. Heck, they may not even give you credit, but rather will only do an exchange for another system. That's one of the drawbacks to buying systems at Gamestop: their return policy isn't very liberal at all when it comes to game systems compared to other retailers.

Oh thank god! I didn't open it and I was going to sell it on eBay but there's no chance in selling it. There's still tons left at all the gamestops I've been to

I got another system, but I can return it to Amazon if I want to. I probably should.

Wow, too bad it's not as easy to return stuff as walmart. I didn't need my receipt or anything when my mom bought me an album I had already downloaded from iTunes. I just took it in and let them scan it and my mom showed her license. Voila there I was with the money on a gift card.

Get the person who bought it to go with you or something though.

Keep it as a spare...? I would.
