McDonalds Written Up
Alrite, So im debating whether or not to quit my current part time job at McDonalds. Ive actually been debating it for the past while because of the kinds of things my managers were making me do...just me. I was the only one forced to clean out all the garbage bags outside, clean the drive through with a broom, mop all the floors...this was all on one shift. It seems like they try to use me as their janitor as much as they can, which is not what i expected when I was told id work as a cook in the kitchen. There was also a situation where I was breaking boxes for them and throwing out garbage...both my managers walked out and began having a cigarette basically beside me for 30min. It smelled terrible, and it honestly feels like they had no respect at all for me. So then today, I got written up for calling in sick 30min before my shift. Now what actually got me angry was how they took to the situation, this is my first job and I was never told (not even at the orientation) that I had to call in 3 hours before, and my manager was an a** about it. I explained to her the situtation and it sounded as if she wasnt even listening and just said "Im going to write you up for this" and I just gave up then hung up the phone.
Its the worse because Im one of the only ones there who do everything they say without complaining and I do my job correctly. I try so hard and they just dont give a damn. Im just wondering if I should quit or not, because with all of this happening Id much rather quit then to be fired along the road if they hate me that much. I have to say I dont even enjoy working there one bit, I know its a job and Im probably not going to LOVE doing it but I honestly hate it with a passion.
Also I want to know how getting written up will effect me in the future. Is it only for McDonalds to see? Or well it affect future employment as well?
