Default moar subscriptions infringing on your console gaming rights...

Call Of Duty Subscription Service Revealed | Edge Magazine
see what I mean?

what good is your xbox subscription when have to pay for additional subscriptions to play games online for it? or netflix? oir whatever?

its an empty subscription - this is bull crap

While elements of the service will be available for free, Activision will levy a monthly fee for a full subscription. While pricing has yet to be decided, the WSJ claims Activision executives are planning a lower price than that charged by comparable services such as the Netflix movie streaming service, which costs US customers $7.99 a month

in for a penny in for a pound - i advise everyone on the board to cancel any consoel gaming subscrition they support and do away with this awful practice - pay for goods not for services....

these things are implemented by the strong and adopted by the weak, and soon all of gaing will lose....

Well, I hate this for those who play CoD, but it's a good thing I left CoD at Black Ops.

And that's what saddens me, millions of people will always buy CoD even though it's one the worst gaming series around. I really hope Battlefield can take out CoD eventually.

The problem I see is that Cod games and Battlefield and two very different games ,Battlefield takes some thinking if you really want to play good and encourages teamwork while Cod is a lone wolf type game.Lots of younger players dont want to think tactically and work as a team so when they try Battlefield they lose and ragequit and say the game sucks because they cant kill 5 people at once alone and they are not willing to learn a new game and this is what ACTIVISION feeds on with COD.As long as these type of people exist COD will thrive.

I hate to say it, but I'll most likely end up getting MW3, as my brother is hell-bent on keeping BF3 for himself. I already have a strategic shooter for myself anyway. Forget this subscription, though.

Sure, CoD is full of gaming's scum, has unrealistic gameplay, and is being milked for all it's worth, but it's still a fairly fun game to play with two of my friends in particular on school nights, and the campaign is usually pretty exciting. Subscription, though? No. No thank you.

Fortunately, I have other shooters like KZ3 and the upcoming Starhawk to back me up, as well as plenty of other online games that, you know, aren't shooters.

Honestly, though...what's next? A Call of Duty budget-console?

If you can afford MW3 then why not buy your own copy of the superior BF3 instead?
