Modern Warfare 3 Announcement Teased - PlayStation 3 News at IGN

The teaser for the next issue of the magazine (which should be available June 8th in the UK) simply says "Only in next month's... PlayStation Official Magazine -- UK" with a huge green "3" underneath it. Further down the page, it says "The biggest game in the world returns." All of this could point to Modern Warfare 3.

With E3 falling in the same week as the release of the next issue of the magazine, it's entirely possible that a Modern Warfare 3 reveal will take place before the next issue of the magazine is available. And Activision also has an investor call this afternoon where the next Call of Duty game may be announced.

I gotta say, I'd be a little surprised if MW3 was this years CoD. Everyone was expecting, thanks to no small part from Activion's subtle nudges, that the Sledgehammer Studios Call of Duty would be released this year. However, maybe Activision is out to prove that they don't need the ex-members of Infinity Ward to get results, and are pushing the game out this year, to slap them in the face.

Thoughts everyone? I can't wait for the announcement. MW1 was excellent and MW2 was crazy, unfair fun. I'd be a very happy person to look forward to a MW3 this Christmas season.

How is this the biggest game in the world. It has,

• kd horses(obvious mis spell)
• an engine older than many of the people that play it
• Another boring fps with no innovation
• £10/15$ for five maps
• very little graphical updates
• a terrible community.

I think you're mistaking biggest for quality, sure Call of Duty is crap but it sells like crazy and probably is the biggest franchise at the moment.
