Default My weight loss journey

Hello, a bit about myself. I am 16 years old and have been struggling with weight problems for just about all my life up until around September last year I haven't done much about it but I just realized that if I continued the way I was going, I would be very sick or end up dead at a very early age.

I was fed up, I needed to lose this weight and that's just what I did, over the course of approximately 5-6 months I have lost 28.5 kilograms (63 pounds). I first lost about 5 kilograms by simply eating right and going for a jog 30 minutes a day, but I wanted to take it further so I joined a gym and got a personal trainer, unfortunately after about 20 weeks I cannot go to the gym anymore due to cost reasons and the fact that he is leaving to another country, this is why I plan to keep a little diary here to write down how much I lose each week to keep myself on track and make sure that I don't go back.

Starting weight: 116.5KG (256.8 pounds)
Current goal: 75KG (165 pounds)
Current weight: 88KG (194 pounds)
Weight lost this week: To be updated on Tuesday, 14th of February.

I'm glad you were able to achieve this, it may not have been easy, but of course your persistence and hard work made it possible.

Can you detail how you lost the extra weight past the first 5kg? You said you lost the first five by eating right and running every day, and I don't know what else there is after that that made you lose the next 23.5kg.

Yup, I basically had a weight session with him once a week for an hour and regularly went in to do cardio, that's about all. It was very hard at first and I kept on falling off track but after a few weeks it just became such a normal routine. I also forgot to add that when I was about 98KG's I did a 9km run which was pretty good for me considering before I had lost all the weight I'd literally have my heart racing from walking around the house.

Join a sport in your school it helped one of my friends lose wight and he was the most overwieght dude I have seen in real life at that age but once he began High School he started Football, Wrestling, and Track and now he looks so much better and healthier and he has a strong support around him.

I know, but that was pretty vague, considering the only three things a personal trainer will do is make you eat more healthily (which he already did before), make you run (which he already did before) and make you lift weight (which won't make you lose that much weight because the added muscle would weigh a lot). I thought the best way to lose weight was running. I didn't understand how he suddenly went from 5kg to 28kg if he already ate well and ran, that's all.

I'm asking because my girlfriend wants to lose weight and despite eating healthily, running and going to the gym, she doesn't lose as much as she would like, especially not in America. The food in Japan is better for her to lose weight.
