my friend has the smartphone and he has said it's really good, one thing which makes me upset is that it has a 3D youtube app, 3d video, games, camera... etc

nintendo need to know that they are falling behind because there will be alot o fsmartphones with 3D soon and they have more stuff in 3D than the 3ds itself like youtube and stuff..

So? The 3DS does have Netflix, Nintendo Video, a camera, a sound app and an internet browser doesn't it? The simple fact that you can go on Facebook and then watch a movie or a TV show on Netflix makes it an entertainment device. It's still mainly a handheld gaming console and not a very expensive one at that, YouTube is not a requirement. All smartphones on the other hand have YouTube on them. It is a requirement of high end smartphones nowadays. I do think YouTube will arrive at some point considering strong demand for it, but lack of YouTube isn't necessarily very strange and especially not the end of the world.

The 3DS has the 3D camera and 3D games, so I don't really... *gasp* Wat?! 3D YouTube and 3D video recording?! A mere smartphone has these, but a pure 3D handheld gaming system doesn't?! THIS IS MADNESS!

I don't see the point you're trying to make there. I get the part where you're saying a video game system is supposed to be for playing games. But you think that a phone should have these features and a video game system shouldn't? Because phones are supposed to be for calling people.
