Oh sorry my mistake, it's just that you want experienced developers to make a game for you when you yourself don't seem to have any experience; oh wait you're experienced in having ideas so you're qualified for that position. Do you just plan on telling them your ideas and then when they put together a game you'll just take the credit as the brains behind the operation?

Pretty much. I'd say in most cases only a programmer is fit to lead a game development team. If you can't program, either join an existing team or prod a programmer friend until they go "OKAY FINE WHATEVER."

The "ideas guy" is a role which can be shared by numerous people who are already on the development staff. A project with the "ideas guy" as its head is doomed to fail even more than most projects of this caliber. It's literally a pointless role if it's the only thing one is capable of doing.
