Angry Nintendo = money-steal-h4x!

Nintendo is releasing new points for the Wii DSi and 3DS. Ones that relate more to actual currency.
That's all fine and good, but I think there may be a problem.

WHAT ABOUT THE POINTS ALREADY LOADED ONTO YOUR CONSOLE?!?!?

Right now I have 1500 points on my Wii and another 2000 on my DSi. When nintendo switches the points, will my old ones go away?!?!?!?!? Because now the points are different, the scaling is different!

Is Nintendo going to steal all the money I have in the shop(s)? That's $35 worth of points that will disappear!

If there's anyone in the know out there, can you help? Please? I need to know what going to happen to my points!

I though the new point system was only for the 3ds?

I own physical copies of older games. So I've never used points

Haven't you heard?

Nintendo is updating the shop for all the systems.

David made a blog post with an image of the cards.

Look at the top of the cards. There are 3 systems mentioned
Wii, 3DS, and DSi.

Also, other blog posts have mentioned updates to all the shops as well. According to David (in all his mighty glory), Nintendo will be re-doing all of the shops to use the new points system.

Wasn't it confirmed that the Wii points carry over?

They have said the scale will be different. I don't know what they mean by 'different'

But I don't think it will stay the same as it is now. Right now it is 2000 for $20, and 1500 for $15. But different scaling is different.
Maybe the number of points will stay the same, but then there's another question.
Will the cost of games stay the same? Will the points COST the same?
If a game you can buy for 800 suddenly becomes 1000, I would lose $2.
But if a game that were 800 suddenly becomes 600, I'd be gaining $2.
Or if the games costs stay the same, the points' costs may change. So instead of 2000 for $20, maybe it will be 2000 for $25 or something ridiculous like Microsoft does. So my current number of points would be worth more than they actually are. Or maybe 2000 is only $15? My points would be worth less than they are.

I don't know how much, but the fact remains that they are changing the system of how their points work. I want to know what's going to happen to the $35 bucks I've invested in this stupid thing.

I think I may have missed that post (if there was one).
If you find any information about it, please let me know! Thanks!

Yes, that would fix my problem. Except for the fact I don't want to spend all my points right now.

Yes there are a couple games I want to get, but there are others I'm waiting for. ('Sonic 4 part 2' my brother is really excited for. I think it's coming out later this summer. Most likely after eShop is released.)

I usually try to keep some points in the shop account in-case something really cool comes out. (Cave Story DSiWare is amazing...)
