I'm not even reading the article because it's not a shock. Technology just isn't far enough to need another generation of consoles. (Besides the Wii to Wii U, because that was dated on release.)

I'm guessing it will at least be another 3-4 years before another Xbox or PS3.

This will change when Microsoft reveals there next console. Sigh, them console that once called its self a rival to Nintendo now doesnt even care about them. Do you see what you have done Nintendo? No other console company cares about you. But how Reggi talks there probably okay with that.

It's not about what Nintendo is doing, it's about the market. First off if you released a new console you need it to be exciting. What are you going to promote?

"Buy our console for slightly more power and a tiny bit better graphics?"

The economy isn't good enough and the technology isn't advanced enough. (Look at a top end gaming PC compared to a top Xbox 360/PS3 game. Not enough difference except for the most elitist gamer.)

Besides Nintendo is only catching up to this Gen, they really aren't going above and beyond the current consoles. (A 3 year old graphics card... woot?)

That's better. I want to enjoy my ps3 for a total of at least 7 years before a new console. I've got only a year with it.....

they have ngp to launch as well of course

I really dont see a reason for a upgrade yet anyway. Great games for the 360 and PS3 are still being developed. Maybe in 3-4 years.

sony shares japn with nintendo with no threat from ms

shares europe with nintendo with little threat form ms

and is a distance third from nintendo in ms in the usa

that is their situation

look its 5 years later and ps3 is still $400 if you want the wiimote ps3 bundle - thats priecy as hell for thast thing

the cheapest one is 299 dude.

lol not if you want the wiimote bundle they are trying to expand their market with

$300 is probably what wii u will launch at and look at the ps3 is finally getting down their 5 years later

the system is pricey as hell any way you look at it

i just hope nintendo stays price competitive if i want to spend sony type money i will just get a pc

cant justify that on a game console
