Question No to WiiU...so?

Remember when weeks ago a lot of fanboys were upset with the temporary name "Wii2" spreading their rage through the internet saying: "stop calling it wii2, it's not a Wii, it wont have nothing to do with the Wii, the name will have nothing to di with the Wii, it's a new console", etc. And Reggie gave them "WiiU" lol

So, no ones likes the name "WiiU" and i have to agree with that, guys...so, wich one of the former code names would you have chosen instead of ....you know..."WiiU"

Might I recommend a new title? No offense, but this one sucks. :3

I would've been fine with Stream.
Hell, I would've been OK with anything as long if it didn't have Wii in it.
But they called it the WiiU. Another name that sounds like a childs toy...
It probably will be another childs toy though. Just like the Wii. I hated the Wii. :/

Those unimaginative dirtbags!

It looks like its going to be crap like the Wii is (IMO of course). Its just another "in between" console that will get a crapload of Nintendo Franchise "sequels" until Nintendo decide to release another peice of junk.

Im really hoping my opinion is wrong, and the Wii U ends up being awesome, but I just dont see how the controller screen is going to be extremely utilized by the masses or even Nintendo for that matter. Its going to be another crappily used gimmick.

I said all that so I could say that because of that I would not wish a GOOD system name on this system. As long as (IMO) Nintendo sticks to making crap, then they can continue to market crap with crap names

Oh, and I give a pre-emptive "HAVE FUN," to all of the people that decide to get butthurt from my comments and end up replying to them with less than jovial words.

Meh, I'm actually starting to like Wii U.
Think about it. I like DS-3DS and Wii-Wii U (Not Wii-Stream or something else)

Yeah I'm thinking you're just a troll, and probably a Sony or Microsoft fanboy as well. It clearly has lots of third party support and loads of developers are talking about new and innovative ways to utilize the new controller. And if you don't like the new controller then you can just use the Classic Controller Pro instead. Also to assume that the Wii U successor will suck when we know absolutely nothing about it is just ludicrous.

Out comes the label troll for giving my opinion... yay. I see you take everything a little too seriously

Developers can "talk" of new and innovative ways to use the Wii U controller, but actually making an innovative product is something else.

Again, I hope Im wrong, but based on Nintendo's Wii track record, Im definitely NOT getting my hopes up just yet. Also, Wii U getting multiconsole releases that also appear on two other consoles that I already own, is NOT an incentive for me. But it will be an incentive for those of you that ONLY have a Wii, and only have had a wii this gen. Of course Im sure people will complain of using two circle pads in place of 2 analog sticks as well.

Being a troll isn't about giving an opinion but HOW you give your opinion, and it sounded like you were taking and direct dig at Nintendo and it's fans. And you said you can't think of ways developers can use the controller innovatively but they are coming with innovative ideas.

Who cares? Nobody will buy one anyway after the uber-disappointment of last generation. Too much buyer's remorse for people to fall for it another time.

After the Wii trainwreck I'm not going to waste my money on another Nintendo console ever again. And something tells me third-party publishers are going to be even more cautious than I am this time round.

No matter which store you walk into today, there's always a huge bargain-bin somewhere filled to the brim with Wii games that nobody wants to touch with a barge pole. For some reason there's never a PS3-bin or a 360-bin...

Developers are actually taking the opposite approach with Wii U since it has better graphics and online. Not to mention it's aimed at hardcore gamers. And nobody forced you to buy the Wii shovelware you could have just bought the good games and I can think of few PS3 and 360 shovelware games too. And by that logic the PS4, Vita and Xbox 720 will fail as well.
