Default The Official Social Advice/Help Thread

This is where you post your problems and people help you out.
I'll kick it off: I just got back from a pretty awesome hanging with a few friends. One of them, my best friend(who we will call G(who has been in alternative school for the past 6 mths and lost his girlfriend(who he doesnt like anymore))) had his new girlfriend (K). I was called by G's ex (M) who heard some rumors that G didnt like her anymore. M asked me to put us on a 3 way call where she would listen to what G and I talked about. G basically said he never wants to be with her again in the most horrible way possible while she was secretly listening. G tells me to put M on a 3 way call, i pretend to, and M accidentally on purpose tells G that she heard everything, getting G reasonably mad at me. How do I fix this?

Actually figuring out what the heck you were asking was a lot harder than actually answering the question.

You screwed up, dude. Whatever your intent, allowing someone else to listen in on a conversation isn't exactly what one would call "ethical". You're friend has a pretty good reason to be upset. To fix it? You can't; just apologize and hope that his current dislike for this girl means he gets over it quickly.

Say exactly that to your friend, then apologize and hope for the best.
And in the future, strive for honesty with friends, if you have to lie about a situation it will likely bite you in the long term, even if you think it wont at the time.

Basically, when you are in high school you shouldn't even bother with the "serious relationship" stuff because it doesn't mean anything in college and beyond.

High school basically becomes a joke once you get into college. Generally, college students are more mature, and can handle themselves without turning everything into a huge drama.
