| This is a day or two old, but I was just curious: how many of you think the 3DS had a substandard launch? And how many of you changed your opinion after reading this? I, for one, don't really get the whole "The lineup is the worst ever!" thing some people seem to have. Especially comparing it to the original DS's launch, this is pretty good. At the very least, it's par for the course. It has a wide variety of mostly okay games to tide early adopters over until some more top-tier games come out. The only thing it doesn't have is a "killer app," which I think is why most people are upset. But is a killer app that important if the rest of the games are mostly good? What do you guys think? |

I think that we should be happy just to have technology like this, but people do like to complain. Every new console release has its bugs that need to be worked out, it's part of what being an early buyer means. I read a nice post about the 3DS and the 'Early Stage Buyer' on Kotaku, I can't be bothered to go searching for it right now though, too busy toying around with my 3DS haha.
