Looks as if the Playstation Vita could have a November realease.

Oops,typo in the title. It's supposed to say November 4th.

Ahhh fun. 2 systems I want released in the same year. But since I want the vita for its tech rather than its games... I'll wait a few years. There isn't any confirmed games for the vita that I want. There's a few that interest me, but is also on the PS3 in some fashion.

If they end up remaking Final Fantasy 5 and 6 for the Vita rather than the 3DS though, I am definitely getting the Vita for them.

Highly doubt it tho, same thing was said about 3DS.

They did tell us it will be out holiday season this year, so it does fit. With the 3DS we were told by March 31, which was way more vague and left more possible dates.

So that means this date sounds much more likely than the November release rumor for the 3DS.

Tretton stated after the e3, that it will be launching this fiscal year in US ( they extended it from holidays ) kaz stated holidays. but what he specifically mend with that is still a question.

I highly doubt they are able to push out enough chips for the end of this year for a world wide release, they probably will have to focus on 1 place before the end of this year like they already stated before hand. and frankly i dont think that the US is there first choice on this matter.

Its probably going to be japan, but through the launch lineup its good possible its going to be europe, but they could easily just place out hot shot golfs + those crappy games at japanese launch, and pull the big guns on uncharted etc for western launch.

So we will have to see tho.

By the time Vita is released the 3DS will have many more of the Nintendo games on it. Star Fox, Mario Kart, Super Mario. These games have been announced for release this year. Like the PSP and DS I don't think the 3DS and Vita compete for the same audience.

I'm hoping that it comes out after the holidays, similar to the 3DS release. I don't mind spending my own cash on new systems, but if I can get gift cards for Christmas and my birthday in February, it's much nicer.

No their both going for the hardcore audience. 3DS has two Resident Evils, Metal Gear Solid, Ninja Gaiden, Tekken etc. Vita has Uncharted, Killzone Resistance, Bishock etc.

Also I think the first party Nintendo games are really going to boost 3DS sales check this out:

The Nintendo 3DS is back on top in Japan thanks to The Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time 3D, imagine what the other games will do for the 3DS.

Nintendo is clearly also going for a hardcore audience. However the 3DS is also going towards the classic audience, something which the Vita has not indicated is a major area of their interest. However correct me if I am wrong.

Oh I thought you meant the 3DS is going for casuals and the Vita is going for the hardcore. Yeah you're probably right the 3DS is going for the nostalgics and the newbies while Vita going for just the newbies.
