Just found this via GAF the other day, and I thought it was super neat.

Anyone remember the Pokemon TCG? Yeah, the one you collected but never played?

Surprisingly, I actually PLAYED the game. Like, built decks and stuff. That was back in the day, though. Nowadays, I find TCGs are too expensive to play.

...and that's exactly why one of my favorite GB games is Pokemon TCG. It contains the entire first 3 or so sets of the TCG, with fully customizable decks, CPU and human Vs... all for the price of a game card.

So, I was super excited when I heard that the Pokemon TCG game was coming online. For free. Hell yeah.

Anyways, it's in beta right now, and you can choose between 3 preselected decks, or, if you buy the new B/W decks, you can play with those in the game.

In the future, you'll be able to build your own decks and play against other people. For now, though, the decks aren't customizable, and you can only play against CPUs.

Still, I have a lot of fun playing it.

I had read about that a while ago. And in internet terms that's really old.

I read about it on Kotaku a while ago as well, I just had no idea it had come out.

But seriously, I was stoked about it from the day I heard of it, and I'm still excited now.

Seriously though, THIS is the way to do online TCGs. Like, MTG Online and stuff seem fine and all, but you still have to buy packs.
