Default Question about Pokemon Black/White

Right so i've recently been tempted to buy Pokemon Black.. or White.. but i've got a couple of questions for you guys.

First off.. its been years since i last followed Pokemon.. used to watch it when it first came on tv in the UK and thats going back about 8 years now haha So would i be able to play either Pokemon B or W without having played Pokemon since like.. Pokemon Yellow??

Also what would be best to play? I've pretty much seen 50/50 on the forum/websites i've looked and just wanted to know the difference between the two?

Thanks, appreciate it

In White you have a forest that isn't in Black. In Black, you have a city that isn't in White. I personally went with White. Of course, there are different pokemon in each version.

You'll have no problems jumping back into the game with either Black or White. I went with white.

I got Black and am quite pleased as most people have White, so there should be plenty of people for me to link up with in. Black/White lets you link up with each others games to collect Pokemon only available in your friends game.

I picked White because I wanted immediate access to Zekrom (the pokemon on the cover). The forest/city exclusives aren't all that great, there's almost nothing to do in them so don't let that be a deciding factor.

Yea, the stories are pretty much the same in every Pokemon game. There is no story to catch up on. :P Oh, and do be prepared not to see any Pokemon you know of. I was pissed when I started playing and found that after around 5 hours of playing I haven't seen one single Pokemon that I have ever heard of.

It's a fantastic game, this is coming from someone who hasn't played a Pokemon game properly since Yellow! I felt a bit old, and out of touch with the nostalgia of 'Pokemon' when I also hadn't heard of ANY of the Pokemon that I was seeing. I went with Black personally, not knowing, or really caring about the differences, as they were also tiny in the original games.
