| I'm a college student and I don't have a job because I'm an international student and it's illegal to get a job without a working visa. I have tried to get a job on campus before as a French tutor but they just didn't have enough students who needed one. I'm gonna try again at my new university in the fall. According to my girlfriend of nearly two years, we don't do 'anything.' I tell her many of the things she wants to do outside like going to a bar can be done at home for cheaper. She complains that I don't bring her to a restaurant enough, and I told her I could do that and then asked, to try and make her understand how I see things, how much she usually expects to pay at a restaurant. She said $30 each. I said that's as much money as I spend on a 50-hour long videogame, for one meal. I'm not asking who's right and who's wrong as I think we both have a point and I know you guys don't give a sh!t, but what do you guys think? Whether you're in a relationship or not, it doesn't matter, I'm just wondering if this is an issue you guys have encountered before or have an opinion about. LOL FOR REAL? That's exactly why I dumped my boyfriend of 3 years. We did NOTHING together. It wasn't fair to either of us especially when he brought home a new game and all I could do was sit there and watch. THAT IS NOT HOW A SOLID RELATIONSHIP WORKS. The real question is this: Do you want someone to share your life with and not have to search high and low to get laid? Man up bro. It wouldn't kill you to take her out once in a while. She could easily find someone else to do just that, so consider yourself lucky. |

Do a game one month, and then do a dinner the next. Even them out, so the dinners could maybe become special events for her every other month. Also do small things with her the months you get a new game.

| Do not do this. Treat her right or lose her.

Yeah you need to bring her out at least once a week, fellow. Is she not worth spending money on? |

Maybe you could do cheaper things than a restaurant. I don't know, do a picnic or something, just actually do something.

All I really have to say is I agree with MissPeachyBum and The Dude. I don't even have a girlfriend, yet I know that that is no way to treat a lady.

Picnics are good. They show that you actually put effort and time into planning and putting together something for her. But not at a picnic table. Think of a nice area where you could sit down at the park or something. |

Seriously? You don't think $60 is worth a meal with your girlfriend? Yet you do think it's worth a game. That's some screwed logic. Last edited by Order; 08-12-2011 at 11:32 PM. |
