Here is a trick my friends do. First, they just bought a regular DS. When the DS Lite came out, they traded their old DS in at Gamestop for the DS Lite and payed no money at all. Then when the DSI came out, they traded the DS Lite in for the DSI and I'm pretty sure payed nothing. When Gamestop sells 3DS', who can guess what I'm gunna do?

DSi gives you 75$.

You still have to pay.

Heres how you get stuff from Gamestop for free. Wait until they have a buy 2 get 1 free used game promotion, buy two games, then choose your free third, then return the 2 you actually paid for. Its how I got Orange Box back in the day.

You can't just trade in an old model and get a new model for free. Either they were lying to you or they were using a Gamestop warranty to swap it out with a newer version (which isn't as easy to do as it used to be, now that they only offer one year warranties).
