Default Should E3 be removed from existence?

It seems to me that, the e3 holds back information on purpose for company's to have a major blowout on info for 1-3 days.

Instead of just releasing the info if its available, its getting holded back on purpose.

Wouldn't it be better if we would just get each month some info, or whatever els. instead of company's just holding it back.

For example, i'm sure there is a ton of 3DS info that is going to be announced. But wouldn't it be better if they just released that info on a steady base through the whole year?

Besides that the event is basically only watched by people that keep up anyway with new information on websites, so it wouldn't really matter much. the info about stuff would simple still arrive.

Instead of 1 big massive information overflow once a year, i rather have it spread out over the year.

Add with that, that company's could announce stuff when they are ready to announce it and not take into account special events such as this. to rush stuff or wait a long time.

Besides this, the e3 isn't even open for the general public. Its just 1 big journalist fest which would report new information either way on there websites.

anyhting else?

I dunno - you could research what trade shows are and why they are held - that would be common sense

no, eventually another of the shows will get just as big (most likely TGS) and we'd be back at square one.

Truth.

They've scaled down shows before and other ones have grown in size. Publishers/devs want a big stage to showcase their projects. Having a centralized industry event is totally healthy.

Isn't it enough for you that they announced the 3DS & Café before E3?

I look forward to E3 all year, yeah companies probably do hold back announcements just for the show but it's still good to be flooded with great upcoming game news.
My only complaint is that it should be opened to the public, I would definetly go E3 and play around for a few days in Vegas, what else can you ask for

You have a point but it is nice to have something big to be excited for so I think E3 should stay. It's also a great way for small developers to get their quality titles shown to lots of people whereas without E3 it wouldn't get as noticed and lots of the great games we have to today probably wouldn't exist.
