im going into third year (which is like 9th grade in america) and im thinking about doing evening study, it starts at 4 and ends at 5.30. Im considering doing it as it takes me time to get motivated to do my work at home and i think i can get more work done in an enviroment with authority. Anyway there is one subject that ill need help at home with (Irish) and that puts me off. Plus at the end of the year ill have state examinations spo do you think its a good idea?

Absolutely. Anything that helps you get ahead of the game is worth doing. Plus, it's only an hour and a half out of your day, so it couldn't hurt.

This is good advice. It's much better to get your work out of the way early, that way you don't have to stress or worry about it.

Having fun is 110 times better when you don't have work looming over you.

My freshman year: Did ok with a 3.4 gpa
Sophomore year: Got destroyed with a 2.8
Junior Year: Did well with a 3.8
Senior Year: got my act together and got a 4.2

Colleges didn't care. My first two bad years completely destroyed any chance I had at merit scholarship. Early years matter. Do work now, Do work later in life and keep more money.

Not if taking AP classes (or at my school, also distance learning courses).
