What is your favourite survival horror series?

Of those 3, its gonna have to be REsident Evil.

Never played Silent hill, and Dead Space only has two titles (minus the Wii one).

You should add more IMO.

Well unlike my Best Fighting Game Franchise thread this about the best out of these 3 games rather than the best out of all survival horror games.

But feel free to say in the comments what your favourite survival horror game series of all time is.

I'm partial to Silent Hill. The storylines are always pretty solid. Plus, you can't argue with a Pyramid Head.

Resident Evil. I like like Silent Hill too. But I like RE more.

Dead Space creeps me out.... SOMETIMES.
Especially when I'm alone at home alone in the dark at night.
Adds more thrill to the game though.

I personally like all three series.

What if I like them all?

Silent Hill is easily the scariest of the three, so as a survival horror it wins by a mile.
As a third person shooter, Resident Evil comes out on top.

I dunno, it's a close tie between Silent Hill series and REmake...but I'll go with Silent Hill.

Although, I very often consider Condemned: Criminal Origins and Amnesia: Dark Descent to be among the scariest games I've ever played.

Silent Hill fits the definition of the survival horror genre best (well it used to.) The early Resident Evil games come at a close second.

I don't classify Dead Space as survival horror.
