This is not a good time for sony guys.

What I want to know is, how will this affect sony's upcoming gaming division.

Will people trust them for having weak security of the past

you should never trusth any online company with your creditcard information.

Its all hackable. the top hackers are mostly the people that build the protections. Its hard to keep them out. as they know exactly what stuff is able to do etc.

WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON WITH SONY?

Seriously, man... What is wrong with this company? Can't this huge MNC just protect its customer info for a second?... They've got the money to do it. Thank god I don't have an Ericsson phone, but I do have a PSN account on my PS3 and this is getting ridiculous.

I'm calling another PSN hack within 3 months. Also, I don't hate Sony (as I said, I have a PS3), they're just disappointing me right now.

Yeah because they take security measures in all the wrong places.
Why do you need to type in your birthday so they can send you an email about your password? What could someone get from sending ME an email on my password?

I think this will only benefit the standing of the video game division as it show that security attacks don't center on the gaming division only.

Disappointing for such a company to fall to hackers.

i think the hackers are just doing it for bragging rights now. like "hmm...everyone else is hacking sony right now, i guess i'll do it too! hmm, let me see what other division hasn't been attacked yet..."

its really getting annoying, and I'm not even Sony. But really, there's nothing to gain from all of this crap. You steal the info, and more than likely you're going to get caught or the credit card will get canceled making all your efforts in vain. There's nothing great about all of this...whatever, people will never change.
