| I was reading some article, about how ipad users mostly gamed on there devices. As lets be real. those ipads got absolute not place in the market besides lol products. Still tons of ipad users use seem to enjoy gaming on it, but why is that? My question then got related towards, why would people rebuy a title that they bought for there iphone for 5 dollar for there ipad. Isn't that a weird thing to do? Buy 2x the same game? Which is a discussion which is raising for the this generation handhelds. What price can be justified for "console like ports" for example. Then i found out that apple isn't making you rebuy the games that you bought on your iphone. You can simple redownload them with your ipad on your same "account". Wouldn't this be a wonderful thing for 3DS and NGP all together? Think about it. Developers make 1 main game. uncharted 3 and port it towards the NGP. But instead of buying both versions. ( you just buy uncharted 3 ) and can download it from your account to any device you log into. So if you login to your NGP. you can simple download uncharted 3 install it + play it. With cloud saving. you could pick up where you left? Company's wont have to charge anything extra, you dont have to pay anything extra as result. You simple login, and play your games on your account ( much like steam ) Another example, zelda SS gets released for the wii2 ( lets say the wii2 and 3ds are extremely friendly towards eachother much like ps3/ngp, so that developers can port the exact game in under then 2 weeks, which isn't going to cost them much anything more ) You activate the game towards our account, and as soon as you pick up your 3DS and log into with that device into your account, you see zelda ss popping up + you can download the game and install it and play it on your 3DS. Much like how apple functions. With "handheld" exclusive games like pokemon, you can do it the other way around. Buy it for your 3DS. log in with your wii and play the game there on a enhanced resolution etc. Big budget games will pop up for both devices, and developers get a bigger audience. People are not forced to buy 2 consoles, but can buy them both as the 1 is better for "big screen experience" while the other is better for the handheld experience. But you are not getting limited or forced to play x game on x platform. And a truckload of titles will be there automatically for both devices. Last edited by gatygun; 04-11-2011 at 08:47 PM. |

Well I would imagine that's for when people upgrade to a newer phone. This will never happen in the console market, and apple would never get away with not doing this. If apple didn't allow this, all those apps I bought on my iPod touch wouldn't be able to be put on my iPhone 4, and I would be pretty mad. Although this would be nice to have on consoles, it just doesn't seem like it will ever happen. |
