Default Touch Screen Protector Tinted?

I know this must seem like an idiotic question, but is my touch/bottom screen protector supposed to be ... blue? I got one of the Nintendo/Hori one's that I've heard people rave about on here [and have managed to scratch it on the top screen meaning I'll need another one //sigh]. But the blue tint really weirds me out, I'm not going to lie.

Is it supposed to be blue, or did I manage to apply the wrong thing or something. I'd really like to know.

Also, very sorry if this isn't the right forum, or if it's been answered before. I searched the forums, but didn't see anything addressing the tint of the protector.

I have one and it has a slight purple tint on it. I can't notice any effects while playing the game, and I think the tint may be there to reduce glare.

It's normal. You'll get over it after a day or two.

Yea I definetly need to purchase a screen protector cause for some idiotic reason everytime I walk with my 3DS in my pocket.A pebble seems to always magically go in between the closed system and scratch the top 3D screen with little dents.Has this happened to anyone I now have four to five small dents.Im hoping a screen protector can prevent that from happening again now I just leave it opened in fear that it will happen again

If the tint does not disappear within two days, that means your HORI screen protector has been placed wrongly.

Perhaps walking around with a system not in a case when you have rocks in your pocket isn't the best choice. If anything, it sounds more like an obvious recipe for disaster. 0_o

That's not true.
