It's true isn't it?

If I look around me, generation Y is the celebration of mediocrity.

And generation Z will be the end all.

then generation AA will be the revivers of society

Generation AB will be those born after a rebellious turnover

and Generation AA MkII will be living on the moon.

Well, speaking for just America, gen x is pretty much what put this gen in the situation we currently are in and almost definitely going to at least stay constant in for awhile. And yes, I'm heavily implying National Leaders.

So Generation Y is lazy, screwed, and stupid? Who's opinion is this? Maybe the Baby Boomer's, who spent their entire lives trying to siphon the livelihood of everyone around them since they reached voting age? Or maybe Generation X, who've spent the last 20 years or so breaking our entire political and economic system faster than any generation in history? News flash; generalizations are a dime a dozen, and anyone can make them.

Gen Y has its fair share of worthless losers, but to see previous generations look down on us collectively simply reeks of undeserved self-righteousness. Please, if we're so bad, get your crap together so you can enlighten us.

This. I actually see great potential for generation y. Sure there are some worthless people in it, but there are some intelligent and great people in it as well.

Of course there is potential, albeit a little bit. I mean, let's face it: every generation is/was screwed in some way, and blamed the previous generation while that previous generation whined about how the current generation is lazy/stupid/screwed. It's just a cycle. We just need some good, new leadership, and to be completely honest (and rather pessimistic) I don't see it happening any time soon. Some day.

Aaaaand that repeats, and then the next generation will be in the same place that we are. I'm just reiterating my point, so I'll stop here.

Ya I'm certainly not trying to define my entire generation with a Google search. But I would say tough times are ahead especially for those of us who don't save or make plans to get further education whatever it may be. (College, trade school, apprenticeship, military or whatever.) A minimum wage job just won't support us like it did for previous generations. I see far too many people living the, "**** it I'm gonna live paycheck to paycheck lifestyle" because that's ill can manage

Elvis has corrupted our youth with the sinful gyrations of his hips and his devilish rock-and-roll music.
