Default What artist/band/composer would you like to make a video game soundtrack?

Trent Reznor from Nine Inch Nails comes to mind. I love NIN and Trent's Movie/Video Game music.

Greg Edmonson (of Firefly fame) did a superb job with the soundtrack of Uncharted 2. Mixing traditional tibetan, nepali and chinese instruments with orchestral score.

I certainly hope he does the soundtrack to U3 as well.

If I were to make a game based on UK Hardcore music, I would invite (Dougal &) Gammer, because he created a nice amount of UKH gems.

Otherwise, I'd love Ken Ishii and Yoji (Biomehanika) to make VGM. Both Japanese artists have made some of my favorite techno tunes ever. Also, Ken Ishii already made a tune for a video game, and Yoji's epic "Don't Wake Me From The Dream" is gonna be in an upcoming arcade music video game (sadly I don't like this 2010 Summer Edition that much, but whatever).

Actually he already has done some work with Quake and I believe worked on Doom 3 as well.

I know in a few interviews he said he'd love to do more work on video games so it's not a matter of if, but when.

Edit: Who'd I want? Too be honest, I can't really think of anyone I'd want. Trent would be my only choice, but you already picked him... Drat!
