Default What a difference a day makes

This morning my wife and I headed out to the state fair. On the way, traffic on the highway came to a standstill. While we were waiting to move, a car rear ended us and caused our rear tire to rip off our back axle and hit a passing truck. Fortunately, no one in the accident was hurt. Two hours later we ended up at the state fair. The fair was great, but I was tired and still had to deal with the car, which might be totaled, and then, out of the blue, my one year old daughter started walking for the first time. I'm looking back at everything that's happened today, and am just amazed at how much can happen in one day.

The funny thing is, you'll remember your child walking more vividly out of all that happened.

Man, that's the truth. When she started walking, nothing else mattered to me. I guess she knew I needed something to pick me up.

I remember the day I took my first step. My parents
gave me the amazing ability to remember far back. Tripped
up, my dad did; thought I should learn to ride a bike first. Me,
my young self, didn't care. Those mofos
are the best.

Decode.

I think it's probably a good think we can't remember the first 3-4 years of life. I don't think I want to know how bad my parents were back then.

That's life for you, congratulations on your baby girl's first steps. It's a rocky road out there, make sure she's got the shoes to handle it.

Thanks, I'm proud of her. She gets so excited that she's walking that she ends up falling down, but she laughs the whole time.
