Default What was the first time you got The Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time for the N64

Ok since yesterday Ocarina of time 3D was released for North America. Lets all tell our stories how and when we got the original Ocarina of Time for the N64. I'll start with my story. Ok, it was the year 1998 and I had a friend name Joe, we were kinda like best friends and he had Ocarina of Time and he beat the whole game. So then, one day he needed some money and he said to me if I want Zelda for $10. I said YEA and I gave him $10 and he gave me the game. Last, it took me 8 weeks and I completed the whole game.

Around the release of the Nintendo 64?
I don't remember the details for how and when I purchased a game.

Back when it came out, I knew somebody who had it (Was in Junior High, when it came out). After he beat it, he let me borrow it, and not long after, I went out and actually bought it myself.

I never got it myself, but a friend of mine brought it over to play. It was an alright game.

And what's with the disclaimer of cursing xD?

I never owned it, but my uncle did, and he let me borrow it (he never asked for it back though), I was about 7 or 8 years old, and I got so mad because I kept on falling off the pillars in Zelda's castle and kept getting caught by the guards, that I just quit the game without saving and haven't played it for about 8 years, now I have on a virtual console on my PC and started playing it again, then stopped again... lol... so I would have some surprises with the 3D version!

I pre-ordered it and picked it up from Gamestop (back when it was Electronic Boutique).

I then picked up my second copy when I got it as a pre-order bonus with Wind Waker.

I then got it a THIRD time when I registered my GCN games with Club Nintendo (before it was Club Nintendo), and got the Zelda Collection.

Then I purchased it for the 3DS.

My dad had it on the GameCube when I was like, 5 maybe. The first time I really played it was on virtual console. I have never seen a N64 cartridge. Why do you think everyone had it on N64?

I never owned it myself but my friend who lived down the road from me at the time, he had it, so I just played it at his house and eventually borrowed it + his N64 for a while and played it then.

When I bought Wind Waker on the GC, that's when I finally had some form of OoT as my own Gotta love the bonus disk!

I pre-ordered it (from Kmart I think) and got it on release day.
