DS games are regular DS games; they work on all DS systems, the same features within every platform.

DSi enhanced games may use specific DSi-only features, such as the camera and/or extra Wi-Fi capabilities.

There's not really a DSi game, there are just games that are "DSi-enhanced" when you play them on a DSi, rather than a DS.

There are no DSi specific retail sold games; only games like Pictionary, Pokemon Black and Art Academy which have DSi specific features, usually through the use of a camera. As the 3DS has a camera, those games will work fine on your 3DS.

DSiWare games are different. They are games that were released in an online store on the DSi console. They will be available both to be transferred to 3DS and bought from 3DS when the 3DS is updated on June 7th.

Almost every game out there for the DS plays on all DS systems and you don't need to worry about it. But, contrary to popular belief, there ARE DSi-only games.

Here's one of them: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/System_Flaw

It's just such a rare thing, that most people aren't even aware of it.

There's also System Flaw and Foto Showdown. Those games won't work on a regular DS and the cartridges are white instead of black.

Wow, just watched a video on YouTube for that game - it looks so very VERY boring.

It looks like an early prototype for Face Raiders, as all the aliens seem to be static and not put up any sort of fight to avoid being shot at. I'm guessing because with the camera alone it wouldn't be able to track properly if you moved around a lot.

Face Raiders of course uses the motion sensors AND camera combined to keep track of the movement to make a game that is actually fun to play.

The DSi may be called that either because the i stands for the internet browser, or perhaps the i stands for an "eye", or the camera. It might stand for both.

There are no retail specific dsi games. Every retail game can play on all ds systems. DSi games refer to the games that are on the DSi ware. However, there isn't too big of a selection of actual good dsi games.
