This is just what I think

Developers have a hard time making a game that already exists because if its a very popular game that everybody loves they are afraid of messing it up and fans not liking it or if they don't change anything fans would say there wasn't any change its the same thing with better graphics

You'll probably hear this from reviews on Ocarina of Time

So if they change something gamers are upset but if they leave it exactly the same they get upset too

Let's look back on HG/SS.

It's new, yet it's a remake of old games! It's appealing to both new and old audiences.

I personally like remakes of the games I used to play while I was little like yes Pokemon Silver and i did like the remake

in my case i think that HG/SS is a good if not perfect remake

Remakes are risky, goldeneye got it right, but not everything does.

bad! bad boy! I don't agree goldeneye was a good remake but i'll admit it qualifies as a remake.

I think for a remake to qualify as a remake it has to consist of more than just a graphical overhaul. case in point Ys Oath in Felghana.

it's a remake of Ys 3 that takes the basic story, gameplay and flow of Ys 3 and transforms it into a different game.
