here is why i like wii grpahics, and have some concerns - i hope unfounded - over cafe graphics....

1. higher game dev costs - i mean look at how game prices jumped, and subscriptions came into play and pay dlc and such - lots of restricitions and extra fees - ugh, $50 for a brand new game is already enough, and lets face it most ppl wait to go budget on a lot of titles.....is $60 a pop sustainable for most games- no.....and the game that can afford to do it hurt the smaller companies who cant and that hurts game diversity, more blockbusters that are predictable, less new games,,,,

2 longer devt imes - yeah I will say it - and too many sequels - keep rebuilding the same game on the sam engine every year so you can afors\d to make the first one - gets boring.....also zelda cycle is already long enough

3. games already look grteat. mario glaxy 2 kirby yarn boy and blob - I dunno I lam altready satisfied with the game s I have I play on an hd tv in ED aand I think graphics l=ok reall good for GC too- 'jaggies' aint never bothered me and quite frankly cgi games movies still look fake uncanny valley whatever so who cares?

4 i still o\thin old games look great, especially on vc. n64 big improvement and I think nes games look beter than snes games, so what improvement was there them days anyway? mario 3 and zelda 1 and zelda 2 look awesome on my HDTV, never looked better - rumour is cafe vc will resell some games in hd - lol no sale., however snes games like DKC do look like dog crap on hdtv, but NES games dont.

anyway I hear the bad grpahics drum beat a lot but i bet most ppl onb this forum dont even care much....wii has some great looking games and I am glad I payed less, much less for the console and the software. I am not excited at paying $300+ for a new nintendo console, might be a late adopter.

nes > snes this could bee repeating itself with wii and cafe,.,,,,,

sorry for they typos my hands are all cramped up right now.......

we've paid more for games before, 50 dollars for a new game is actually an all time low.

also graphics != aesthetics.

I do hope Nintendo continue to use colour for café games.

Compared to ps3 and 360 wii isn't do much in the graphics department.


Developers have been doing a great job of getting the most of the wii.


Super Mario Galaxy surprised me, and that is thanks to good developers

but think about it

if you take the amoung of money you spent on game rig/games and divdided that by graphical quality - wii has the highest ratio of graphics per dollar of any systewm ever made.....

sure 360 and ps3 have higher resolution, more polys and etc - but look at the price that came with it, and all the negatives that grew out of it for the consumer because of it.....

I pay for higher quality, and for games that aren't casual waggle controlled monstrosity's. Wii has subpar graphics compared to everything else out there, get over it.

i never once wished my console or my software cost more or was tied to pay dlc so i could have higher resolution games and my ps3 experiences have been tied to long gasme installs and long load times - ugh,

never once have i wished wii was more like ps3 and i wont even mention thr rrod debacle

and i love so many of the the games and how they look on the system -- I dont feel I ever had anythign to get over

What? I never once mentioned DLC. And the point of DLC is that it adds more to the game after you bought it, thus giving the game a longer life expectancy. True alot of developers and publishers (EA) take advantage of this and put out day 1 DLC that should have been on disc, but on a whole DLC is a major part of this generation and is probably one of the key stes forward gaming has made,
You are complaining about game installs? REALLY. Sorry you have to wait 10 minutes when you first get a game so it can load fasters, and run smoother. I guess if you have ADD it could be an issue.
RRD debacle?What does this have to do with anything? Sorry I have gone through more Wiis then 360s or ps3s. actually I have had only 1 360 break and 4 wiis break.

i am confused now - you say you pay more for quality and slam the wii and yet you have bought 4 wiis? go figure out the hardcore....

rrod was tied to ms rushing high end graphics console out on the cheap - and it broke. a lot.

pat\ydlc is what happens when game makers need more revenue and no longer sell completed games

no console has had longer install times, more updates and more load times than the ps3 - ever thats a fact and you know it danger

i am just saying - the hd gen was not a slam dunk, more like a brick thrown up from the outside of the arc and pray it bounces in once in a while.....

I don't really see a problem with installs. The media used pretty much required installs. Every system has it's pro's and cons, even the Wii. The Cafe will be more like the PS3/360 so I guess you should prepare yourself for disappointment.

And really? SNES is worse than the NES? o.0
