Default Wii Component vs Composite

i have the standard composite cable which you get with the wii i was thinking about getting the component cable i was wondering is it alot better and if its worth it
i do have a hd tv

i have it and IT WORKS GREAT! but for the best results go to ur otions on r tv and boost up the sharpness all the way up

yes he has an hd tv and the cables do make a difference and are not expensive

There is a small difference. The resolution is still the same size.

Component definitely wins, though.

You can see the difference here. I have them, but some people don't think it's a big deal. So I dunno, it's up to you.

I think both connections look like crap if you use them on an HDTV. But of course, I guess the component will look a little better since component cables support progressive scan, and composite only interlace.

I used to have a tube HDTV. Man, the Wii system looked GREAT on that. Very clear and great colors. Unfortunately, I sold it to put money toward an LCD HDTV and was horrified to find that the Wii looked much worse on it. Kind of blurry and blocky. Of course, at that point, the TV was gone and it was too late.

Regardless, the Wii will look better using component cables and it's worth the $20 or whatever to get them.
