Default Wiki: Can they be Trusted Anymore?

I just went to the 3DS wiki page so I could look at all the information they had.

Then I see this:

The main point I write this to you is because I want to know whether I should put this in my paper about the 3DS.

Thoughts?

You do know that Wikipedia is an open website that can be edited by anybody. The working theory is that those with expertise or knowledge about a given topic will eventually come along and correct errors, but this doesn't always happen in reality for a number of reasons.

I'm sorry are people saying this feature doesn't exist? It is to be released in a system update (I remember hearing it was the May one which seems likely but I can't be 100%)

This feature is on its way in the near future and should be very nice for those of us who know other 3DS owners.

A messaging system for the 3DS has not been officially announced. The closest we've come is someone from Nintendo saying that he would be interested in exploring the idea.

My mistake I thought I had seen an official announcement. Maybe its the lack of sleep from being unable to tear myself away from Ghost Recon in bed. Thanks for the correction Mountain Man, I would imagine they will implement such a feature as having a friends list without intention to enable any way of communicating with the aforementioned friends seems a bit, well, amateur to say the least.
