Windows 7 : Display Driver Failure
Hello everyone.
I recently bought a new laptop that came with Windows 7 predownloaded. It has an AMD Radeon Graphics Card. ( I guess that's what it is. I'm not a computer whiz ) But earlier this evening, I was watching some videos on Youtube. Nothing too out of the ordinary, that is until in the middle of a video the video goes to a solid green color, and my screen goes black. The system is still running and you can still hear the audio from the video. A few seconds later the screen goes back to the video, and gives me a message at the bottom left of my screen saying that the display driver had failed, and had recovered. I thought that was the end of it so I finished watching the video I was on. When the video ended, as I usually do, I clicked a related video ( the ones lined up to the right of the viewing screen ) The video did not show up, and the audio began but started making this strange sound. It's hard to describe what the sound was like. It was kind of like when a CD skips and plays the same part over and over, and made a sound almost like the sound of a jackhammer, only higher pitched. My screen then flashed to a blue screen telling me that a problem had occured and that to protect my system from damage it had to close windows. I turned off my system ( Hard restart by holding the power button ) and logged back in. It showed a black screen asking me if I wanted to run windows normally. I pressed enter like it promted me to do. I haven't run into the problem again, But I haven't really used anything that would use the Graphics card.
Does anyone know what might have caused this problem, and how I can avoid it in the future?

P.S. I know this is a Forum on the 3DS, but I really don't want to join a bunch of different sites, when I could just ask it on the sites I am already a member of. I need any help I can get so that I don't have to go buy a new computer. Money is tight, and it's not really in my budget right now. Thanks in advance.
