Default Xbox: Buy or wait

I know this is the 3ds forums, but this is the lounge so: I have heard all the news reports that companies (EA) have some new XBOX hardware that uses DirectX 11. I also learned that this new hardware may be shown off at E3 2012. So should i continue saving my money to get a 360 after Christmas, or should I wait. I can Imagine EA having this new XBOX because the creative director of Kinect, Kudo Tsunoda worked at EA.

Wait for the new one since the 360 sucks. Just think of it as the 360 not even being an option so go Wii U or Xbox 720. Though I've got a feeling it'll just be like a 360 with more power in the same way the 360 was just an Xbox with more power and if that's the case it'll have the same problems as the 360 and suck. I would recommend the PS3 but it seems everyone's out to get Sony so there might be another PSN hack.

I'd say get it. Even if they announce something new in 2012, it could still take years before it hits the market.

I heard a rumour it's coming in 2013.

Sony and Microsoft are not going to release consoles for awhile. The WiiU definitely will not "force" them to.

If you want the 360, I say go ahead and get it. Do you want to play now, or do you want to wait for a new system that isnt even announced yet?

Except it's a bad console. Lots of people including gamers in my school say the Xbox 360 is great so explain why it's good to enlighten me because I just can't understand.

It plays the games I like to play, has an excellent UI, and Xbox Live is great. What's so bad about it?

Well these are my problems with it:

Paying for Xbox Live
Red Ring of Death
Lack of good first party games
Bad controller

Xbox Live is a terrific online service, and I'm happy to pay for it. As they say, you get what you pay for - additionally, the service is not mandatory.

My Xbox hasn't RRoD, so I guess it hasn't affected me at all.

I have a PS3 and an Xbox 360 - I don't care about God of War, so I prefer the Xbox exclusives (particularly Mass Effect, which is a brilliant game).

And I think the controller is perfect for shooters. Since I'm more privy to fighting games, I have a few arcade sticks for those, too.

It seems the cons you have for 360 are entirely conjecture. Anyway, it's a great system and I've clocked hundreds of hours into it. I'd recommend it to those interested in buying one.
