Default Your philosophies in life

Discuss your philosophies on any part of life here. I would like to discuss my (50,000 to 5,000,000 philosophy). Generally speaking, someone who works 40 hours a week makes an average of 50,000 a year, but how do you compare that person to someone who makes let's say 100 times more a year at 5,000,000 million a year? Is the person who's making 100 times more working 100 times harder? No, If you work 8 hours a day to make 50,000 dollars a year, it's impossible for the person making 100 times more to be working 800 hours in a day, because there's only 24 hours in a day! What I'm trying to get at is, there's only so hard you can work to make anywhere from millions to billions of dollars a year, making more than 50,000 dollars a year to let's say 5 million is not this gigantic incremental step that people perceive it to be.

I have read some c r a z y theories lately.

Someone told me they could see in the dark because their mother was bit by a cat when he was in his mother's womb.
To which I say, cool story bro.

Someone also has said today that they really want to be disabled because of the benefits it comes with.
To which I say, cool story bro.

Someone also said that they don't want free games on a plate because they have 'free will'
To which I say cool story bro.

Let's hope that people have some good philosophies around here as it has been a little dry lately
Kurtiss and Kentleton like this.

Why did you capitalize "cool" in two out of three of your theories?

Well you're obviously looking at it wrong. Its not about how much you work its your position. They're up in a higher position, probably in a bigger company. Its also a lot more stressful as well, especially if you're a head executive, any wrong move you make could result in the company going down then you lose everything, possibly get sued as well.

I have many religious and political philosophies, but I keep coming back to what a very wise man told me several years ago:

"Bacon is good."

I'd bring in the idea of diminishing returns. whereby the more time spent at work, the less you actually get back in return. i.e. you are loosing your out of work time and surely when you get to a certain extent and amount of time at work, those extra hours are not going to be worth the spare time you would want or need for social activity or sleeping and eating.
I don't think an hour would be worth the same on the 10th hour of work as it is on the first.

Thou shalt not kill
Thou shalt not steal
Thouh shalt not commit adultery
...What religion do I believe in, again?

But seriously, learning to blame and criticize yourself (for plausible reasons) are two things I follow strictly.
"Modesty is good," basically.
