What was your worst nightmare? I mean like a bad dream that scares your or made you wake up in the middle of the night.

I was in a very old and deserted book store, where most everything was very rusted in appearance and mostly all surroundings were drained of color. I was the only one in there. There was a very large door in the back of the room, like a bank vault door, but with no knobs or dials or handles or anything. And I remember there was a very real, very palpable sense of evil on the other side of the door. I turned to get away from the door when sounds of scratching started coming from the other side. I started backing away faster, and so the noises on the otherside started getting louder and louder. I started to run in fear, and suddenly what was behind the large steel door broke through and tore the door down. that's when i woke up.

Another terrifying dream, I was on the top of a sky scraper, like a rooftop cafe. The clouds grew black and sky grew cold. There was a very loud, very deep voice that came from the clouds that spoke and said "Enter...the...heretic..." then fire started falling from the sky and buildings started to crumble. i tried to run down the stairwell to safety and while doing so, the walls were coming down around me. i made it to the street level, but woke up before i dreamed any further.

Usually when I wake up from a dream it's something that happens in my sleep and my dream interprets it as something else. Like one time I was dreaming that I jumped into a pool, when I woke up I was covered in sweat.
Another dream is where I was falling off a building and when I hit the ground, I really hit the ground in real life but I just fell off my bed.

So yeah. I don't have too many nightmares that wake me up. I know I have them but I can't remember them as good as Sterculius, lol.

i've always been able to remember my dreams quite vividly. it's been a blessing and a curse, lol. i have been gifted with an eidetic memory, and find it pretty fascinating that it also carries over to the dreamworld. i still remember dreams I had over 10-15 years ago. Just random, nightly dreams.

That's awesome. I mean, not you having nightmares, but just what you described. I got a little nervous just reading it.

I don't really get nightmares. My dreams are often really surreal, which is upsetting, but not really "scary" in the usual sense. Kinda like a David Lynch film, I guess, only less likely to be interpreted as symbolic. My good dreams are usually nice and vivid, though, which makes it annoying when your alarm wakes you up just when things get interesting.

i used to have back in the days, always the same nightmares. they always where exactly the same.

1) all walls closed in on me until there was no space left
2) some sound from the hallway, that became more and more harder until it got me
3) a sound from a door, where i needed to run away from in order to not get pulled inside. sometimes i did got away, mostly not.

Always those dreams over and over again. I had them for like a year constantly. So i know every night before going to sleep that i first would end up in nightmare 1 then 2 then 3. Lol.

I never dream anymore tho this was kinda 10 years ago. I actually start to wonder why i had those dreams at all. kinda weird tho.

Psychoanalysis time. You had claustrophobia. Your dreams of the walls closing in on you are representative of you coping with said claustrophobia. Every time you got away it meant that you were coping with it well. The reason they stopped is that you got over your fear.
