So potentially big news for the 3DS: YouTube has added support for Stereoscopic 3D and NVIDIA 3D Vision.

If the browser in the update does indeed support YouTube, that means something huge for 3DS owners everywhere:

We can watch 3D YouTube videos on the 3DS! ^_^

Again, this is of course if the browser supports YouTube. Combined with better games that we know are on the way and Netflix providing actual full 3D-movies (not just trailers), the ingredients are in place for the 3DS to be a hot device.

An app would actually be preferable, but I think 3DS owners will take what they can get.

That is great news!. If The 3DS browser supports Youtube, I'm going to spend the rest of my summer break watching My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic is 3D!

Obviously the video has to be made in 3D to be seen in 3D, otherwise there would be no effect.

I know, but have you seen the My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic fanbase? Were currently #2 on Know your meme. So if it's possible to make 3D videos out of 2D (is it?) then the fanbase will find a way.

Why do they say it added stereoscopic 3D? Lol... its had a 3D setting for a while. All they added was " HTML5 Stereo View (including NVIDIA 3D Vision)". But this is good news. Now there's no reason for websites like YouTube to not be viewed in 3D, I think.

You can't just take a flat video and make it 3D, it's almost impossible. You would have to manually alter every frame which could take... a very long time. If it was possible I'm sure the Street Fighter intro video on the 3DS would of been in 3D.

I see, I know nothing about 3D technology so I guess I got too excited. Still gonna be cool to watch the show and other videos on a portable if the browser does support youtube, 3D or not.

I gotta get up to date... I think I only seen a few episodes of Friendship Is Magic... Hmmmm to see it in 3D would be awesome...

While it would be cool to see Friendship is Magic in 3D, I can't help but worry about Youtube in 3D. What if I watch a Slender Man video. "Oh My God! He is actually coming out at me!" (Get's pulled into 3DS).

But seriously, it would be nice to watch 3D Youtube on my 3DS.
