| I want to host something a tournament that is a little bit different than just a standard "pick who you want, whatever course you want, whatever items you'd like" tournament. That's too boring and anyone can host something so predictable like that. So I've decided to do a parody of Survivor and/or the Total Drama Series. If you are unfamiliar with either series, please consult with the below spoiler. Spoiler Do you have to be a fan of either? Of course not! The general idea is that the first half of the entire tournament is played in "teams" of two. Each team has 8 people in them. The losing team will go to Tribal Council and vote off one of their own members who will not participate in the contest. At a certain point in the competition, the two teams will merge, causing the contest to be a free-for-all contest. However, once you get to the merge, you must pick your votes carefully, as you'll then be voting off the people in the Jury. Starting with the final 7, each person you'll eliminate, you'll place those people in a place called the Jury, meaning that while they are out of the competition, they are not quiet out of the game just yet. The jury member are very powerful players in the game as they are the ones who declare who is the winner of the entire competition--all power of the final two is gone completely at this point and their is in their hands. The challenge will, obviously, all be immunity challenges. In the first half of the contest, two teams will race each other. It will be 3 GP races. It is the average of those three GP races that I will calculate. The racer will the highest average will win immunity for their team. Or we could just trust the honor system. It is whatever the majority wishes. Oh yes, I almost forgot. During each challenge, the team that has the advantage in numbers must sit-out members to give the opposing team a fighting chance. No two people can sit out in back-to-back tournaments. However, each racer must race at least once. This rule is obviously nullified after the merger. Each challenge would be weekly as is every elimination. After the challenge is completed there is an entire day for me to tally the votes and to give the people who feel targeted a chance to form alliances and/or plead their case. EACH PERSON IN THE TRIBAL COUNCIL TEAM IS EXPECTED TO PM ME THEIR VOTE. IF YOU FAIL TO CAST YOUR VOTE, NOT ONLY IS YOUR VOTE NULLED, BUT YOU ARE ON THE "GHOST LIST". THE NEXT TIME A PERSON ON THE GHOST LIST FAILS TO PM A VOTE AT ANY TIME IN THE ENTIRE COMPETITION, THEY WILL BE ELIMINATED NO QUESTIONS ASKED. THIS ALSO GOES FOR ATTENDANCE AT TRIBAL COUNCIL! However, I am not unreasonable. Please PLEASE notify me if you, for whatever reason, cannot make it to tribal council. I will excuse you for your unattended, regardless if you happen to be eliminated that night or not. However, my rule for casting a vote still stands. It doesn't take that much to send an PM message after all. Now for the actual Mario Kart rules: 1. No glitching!! 2. Any characters 3. Any items 4. Any coarse (I'm such a hypocrite, ain't I? ) BUT you cannot use the same course more than once in any tournament. I will destroy all you Maku Wuhu trolls. That being said, it probably isn't wise to pick random as you will get a penalty if your random happens to be a track already chosen. Now let me be honest. This is quiet a big tournament. Each elimination is weekly, not daily and is subject to change. This means the entire tournament is 16 weeks long. I am available to change the date and/or time to suit everybody involved. But please, get with me if you have any issues with the date and/or sudden happenings. I understand that "these things happen" and I am not a slave driver. That being said, please avoid joining this contest if you have a particularly unpredictable lifestyle that will prevent you from being consistent. This week's first immunity challenge is Saturday, February 25th This week's first tribal council is set on Sunday, February 26th The time for each of these will probably be night time, CST. Team Scarlet Butt Monkeys 1. 3DSTOMPER (replaced with Evan Lindsay) 2. Chloe 3. Ineedcheats7229 4. Disturbing (Ghost List) 5. Rollin 6. Xtrmespeed (Ghost List) 7.Dex (Ghost List) 8. Phil (Ghost List) 9. Mnk(Shaded Star) Ninja/Sonic (eliminated) Team Tenacious Teal Turtles 1. Extern 2. cM Jason 3. Ryan0419 4. SirJDL 5. Stone2191 6. Umandsf 7. Nick 8. Rayzertag 9. ***Kaz*** And the reward? Well...I must admit that I don't have $1,000,000 to give. And because I suck at drawing in every definition of the word, I will give out a $25 amazon gift card to the Sole Survivor. ") During each challenge, I will set up a skype chat room for the racers. Please add my skype name, icychestnutsoup. You are not required to have skype or to attend the chatroom. Microphones are optional. When you sign up, please include your Mii name. No hacking? I think you should re-word that to no glitching since the game hasn't been hacked yet... or for better words, there's been no legit proof of hacking. I don't mean to keep repeating this in MK7 threads. I just feel the need to point out nobody has successfully hacked it. |

rollin4em and William Henry Harrison, since you have not requested for a specific team, can you please send me a PM of your points? I'm going to try to make this game as less one-sided as possible. Arthunix, have you contacted your clan members yet about this? Since the contest starts tomorrow and we so far have only at most 4 people joining, I may have to postpone this tournament until I get more players. So please make sure you get your entries in! | By glitching, I simply mean exploiting glitches to win, like the glitches on both the Wuhu courses for example. Surely you know of them, lol.
