I could wear my Beats at the gym, but I don't want to sweat on something beautiful that cost me a lot and that doesn't even resist to sweat. Plus, wearing big sweaty headphones looks uncomfortable and nasty.
That's basically why I bought Senn's CX 680 Sports. It's for that purpose, and my old $40 sports earbuds had crappy sound quality and weren't even that comfortable to wear.
I already saw some guy exercising with his Beats Studio. I thought "Oh really?" when I saw him.
Yeah. I know about Cowon. But I wanted something small, good-sounding (not implying that Cowon sounds bad) and cheap. My Clip+ beats my iPod Touch and my Samsung Galaxy S II in audio quality, and its small size and clip makes it my favorite thing to bring to the gym. :)
Yes. Right now, lossless is damn big. But I think that, in the future, bigger hard drives and bigger portable audio devices will cost less, as well as the best audio equipment and headphones. People will buy them. The most popular music stores will then sell lossless versions of songs. That's how I see the future of digital audio.
The biggest audio equipment I currently have home is a Bower & Wilkins Zeppelin Air (I didn't buy it and I don't own it). I tried my iPod Touch aka my alarm clock (using ALACs) on these speakers and they sound incredible. But still, it's an iPod. I just realized it has an auxiliary port. I should try the aux port with my Sansa Clip+.
