Most of the time I get a console just as the new one gets anounced, the 3ds is my 1st current generation console in a long time. Its just how I grew up, but I like old school stuff anyway so its not too bad. If i wanna play a current game I just go chill at a friends house.

OT: As long as the 3ds keeps putting out good games I dont really care. I want a gaming pc more than the wii u anyway.

I don't understand how people don't get that if the game system is made by the same company that they are not competing with each other.

The DS Lite did not compete with the Wii, it simply co-existed with it peacefully.
It's Nintendo getting our money which ever we buy.

Competition is something like the PS Vita and the 3DS. Handhelds from different companies.

It's a weird question. I've never decided would I rather have a hand held or a console. I just buy whatever I would like at the time. They're not really competing. I'm thinking the Wii U will be out of our price range for awhile personally form what I've read. Looks cool though.

Go together then. Already got 3DS and plan to get a Wii U for Pokemon spin-off's, Mario Kart U, Animal Crossing U, and maybe New Super Mario Bros. Mii.

The 1st 3 Are the main reasons I buy a Nintendo system, others (games/apps that is) are just a bonus.
