This is really bugging me, they have the capability to do this, I'm pretty sure. Why won't they make 64 and snes games for eshop, this would be so great for us and boost Big N's sales. I would love to play games like link to the past, and Majoras mask but with my schedule it's just not possible, unless I took them with me! Is there anyone who thinks this is a good idea? Bad idea?

I agree with the N64. The 3DS is barely less powerful than the gamecube so it should be plenety able to run N64 games and of course SNES games.

And offering VC options instead of full commercial games, people will stop b****ing about remakes...

If they made 2.3 million on Links Awakening, they would be stupid not to do this. I think this will happen eventually I can't wait for them to ramp up eshop production.

I hope they dont. Unless they port all the already available on Wii Shop to the eShop at once, and allow those who bought them on the Wii to get them on the 3DS without paying then no.

I hate how they're putting up those NES games one-by-one instead of just porting everything that's on the Wii Shop. I wouldnt mind it if it didnt mean less Gameboy games. I want Gameboy games, specially gameboy color. Not NES, not SNES, not N64, not Genesis, etc. I have a Wii for that. They look better on the Wii as well.

What production? They're just ROMs. They could release them all tomorrow if they wanted to. They're artificially dripfeeding us crap on the eShop and it's really annoying.

Well they gotta write the code for the emu/rom, and some games (Mario and Luigi Superstar Saga) are bloody awful to emulate. But yeah that would take a few hours at most, especially sense they already have the GBA code written. Its annoying because they know people will buy more games if the start with NES/GB, and slowly work up. It's asshole economics at its finest.

wouldn't the amount of pixels ruin the idea of allowing 64 games on the 3ds?

In vc games, it gives you the option of putting the game in its orig8nal resolution, and recently found out that Mario bros. is already in full resolution and takes up all the length of the screen.

N64 games would be perfect on the 3DS; that's why Nintendo is choosing to release them as $40 retail games.

I really wish they would port over all the NES/SNES/N64 games and a handful of old hand held games over to the 3ds. it would be extremely easy for them to do, and they could have us download virtual consoles, and make it so the games would download to the console on the 3ds and organize them ABC wise for easy finding
