It is very likely that we will see SNES games on the 3DS VC.

N64, on the other hand, is still up there.
Nintendo couldn't just reuse the emulator they have for GC/Wii because the most time consuming part (the dynamic recompiler for MIPS -> ARM) would have to be completely rewritten.

I think snes is more of a possibility of being on VC than N64 cause that fact nintendo can do so much with the snes in general.

I would love to see neo-geo pocket games on the VC on the 3DS though.

Actually it depends on what you mean by this. Some of the newer Wii's do not have GC controller ports. The last Wii I bought was the exclusive blue one on Black Friday and it doesn't have GC ports. Which means for VC games I have to purchase a Classic Controller.

I should mention that I have NO problem doing that and neither SHOULD anyone else, but for some of the VC games it is necessary for some Wii owners to purchase the Classic Controller. Still very small price to pay and I don't see where anyone would/should complain about that.

SNES definitely. N64 probably not, since they like to remake N64 games and charge 4x what they should be.

What about the possibility of downloading DS games from the eShop? That would, obviously, pose no control issue.

EDIT: Looks like the max rom size of DS games is 256 MB. Also looks like a block on the 3DS is 128 KB, which isn't that much... I don't think you have 32000 blocks on your 3DS (though I don't know how much you have to start out with). Too bad. Perhaps a smaller game could fit, or if they compressed a large rom, it could also fit. Or, maybe you could get the option to download to SD card.
