i have a 3DS and when i want to format it he ask me for a password i want to reset my 3Ds to new so can someone help me how to do i don`t remember how i place a password and i don`t know what it is

Do you mean format system memory? I've never done that so I'm not sure but what you might try is: go to system settings and go to data management you'll see "reset blocked user settings" at the bottom. Tap on that and see what happens. I think i'ts meant to erase all passwords and parental controlls but i'm not sure.

Then your parents set a password on your 3DS (Or if you bought a used one. Somone did this to piss you off.) Ask them. >_> Or go to Parental Control on ''Other Settings''. It will ask you a secret question that you set when you make a password.

Maybe... He stole someone's 3DS and tried to reset its previous system format to create new system format for himself. o_o

Or maybe he murdered someone who had a 3DS, the 3DS was evidence so he took it, and now he wants to format it to make it his own. '0'

NO seriously, since you can't spell that well, I'm guessing you're a kid, your parents probably put parental controls on your 3DS. As stated above.

Contact Nintendo! Works everytime. (Unless you're an 8-year old kid)

Go to System Settings then Parental controls. Click "I Forgot" when it asks for the pin. If you don't know the answer to the secret question, click "I Forgot" again. You'll get an inquiry number to contact Nintendo. Hope this helps.


EDIT: If, for some reason, you can't contact Nintendo, this website MIGHT work. It works for both the Wii and DSi/DSi XL, but I haven't tried it with the 3DS yet. Just enter the inquiry number you get from doing the previus steps.
