So, last night I had a little panic with my 3DS and its charger, it wouldnt connect to charge the system for like an hour and I tried different sockets around my place, then all of a sudden it just started charging again, phew!

But it really got me thinking, this 3DS is not the best made at all, what with the screen hitting of the touch screen when closed, finger marks all over the 3d screen even though i dont touch that screen(?), the hinges sound as if its going to snap, the slidepad/circlepad seems to feel a bit weak in the past week, and now the charger having problems.....

No I am the same as a lot of you, I really really look after my things, I dont throw them around, I am not ruff handling them etc. But it seems there is an expiry date on the 3DS or something (like that theory with mobile phones, they self destruct after a year or something, like a chip is set off inside the phone after a certain amount of time).

But starting to wonder, will ninty REALLY release a new updated hardware system in the next year? Not talking about a new design with the extra slidepad/circlepad just an update on the present hardware to make it feel stronger?

I would get it in a heart beat! Would you?

What would you like to see better on the hardware?

Sorry if this has been talked to death on here, just struck me last night that my system maybe on the way out all of a sudden and its only like 6 months old

anyways i wouldnt buy another 3ds. And i would be pretty upset if they released a new model or w/e this year already lol. ( or 2012 for that mather )

I honestly debate if they'd add the 2nd circle pad to the updated system, because they seem to want to keep it an optional thing, but when its built into the hardware most games would end up using it.

Anyway redesigns come as manufacturing costs go down, the 3D screen is expensive technology, and I'd bet good money the redesign will just be a bigger screen and better battery/cameras. 2 years is what I think, not next xmas but the one after.

I think the redesign will come Holiday 2013.

i think i will wait for the remake to be pink or purple then i would buy it.
