A thread to discuss the upcoming sequel to the amazing visual novel, 999: 9 Hours 9 Persons 9 Doors!
Because let's face it, everyone who's played it loved it to bits.

The roster this time:



The game stars the dashing hero Sigma who wakes up in a warehouse after being kidnapped. Sigma, the character with the blue jumpsuit, must then play a series of games with 8 other people in order to escape alive. Extreme Escape Adventure is described by Chunsoft as a game of betrayal.

The game is also going to feature full voice acting and 3D graphics instead of still images.

Sadly the director of 999 has hinted that a direct sequel to 999 isn't going to happen (Or at least we won't get a closing on Junpei & June). And the new characters look pretty strange to me... Looks like it's hard to relate to them unlike with 999.

Also there's 10 people (Well one is a bunny..) in the picture but the description only speaks of 9 people participating... Hmm.

I don't care if it's not a direct sequel it has the same premise as the last game but with voice acting and actually cut scenes. it's gonna be great! it's most likely gonna have multiple endings and some interesting puzzle solving

From what I've read, that's not correct. The bunny isn't one of them.

"The story begins when Sigma is kidnapped and awakens in an elevator next to Phi. While Sigma doesn't know Phi, she seems to know him, even calling his name out. A bunny appears on the elevator monitor, causing them to flee the elevator (I'm not sure what the bunny says to make them flee, although if I saw a talking bunny on an elevator monitor I'd flee too). They find themselves in a warehouse alongside seven others. They will have to escape from this facility." (Source)

Also, you can't play the Nonary Game with ten people, can you? ;P



I'm so excited for this game, but it's only like 50% completed. I'm not sure if we'll see it before 2013...ugh...

I am definitely going to buy this game since I LOVED 999 (I actually like how this game isn't a direct sequel). But I think the title, "Good People Die", is fine- they should cut out the XTREME ESCAPE ADVENTURE part.

This time Zero is a bunny ?

After seeing the trailer it's a definite buy for me! I'm glad they're not straying far from the concept of 999.


From what I managed to find out from the trailer, Sigma (Blue Jumpsuit guy) and Phi (White-haired girl) know eachother from the past (Sigma lost his memory perhaps?).

A picture of Zero with the gas mask is shown.

And the old man is the young boy's grandpa.

Also Sigma is the 18th letter in Greek alphabet and Phi is the 21st.

Also I think Phi is 9 because in the trailer the watch number 6 is shown on a male wrist (At 00:35).

Wait a sec...what if this game is a prequel? And Phi is like...Santa's mother or something?... and that pink girl marries that magician and they have Clover and Snake? o-e ...

At 0:59...you can see "Ice9"...why is that? It was only to explain that Allice thing in 999, why is it here too? What if...they all escape but that Egyption girl stays and someone does...experiments on her...years later ppl find her frozen and think she's an old goddess or something...which leads to the events of 999...
